This is the archived website for the Belmont Entertainment Law Journal. The Belmont Entertainment Law Journal ceased operations as an independent journal in the summer of 2023, at which time the journal merged with the other specialty journals at the College of Law into a single journal. The new journal is called the Belmont Law Journal. More information about the Belmont Law Journal may be found on the College of Law website. The below is archived to reflect the past works of the Belmont Entertainment Law Journal.
Founded in 2018-2019, the Belmont Entertainment Law Journal is a student-run publication that focuses on the intersection of entertainment and law. This intersection is broad: student notes cover a variety of topics from sports gambling and student-athlete name, image, and likeness rights, to First Amendment issues and evolving intellectual property law in music.
